Practical Steps to Show RESPONSBILITY

  • Complete a task without being asked
  • Understand and accept the consequences of your actions
  • Perform duties willingly (with the right attitude)
  • Complete assignments and submit work consistently
  • Willingly pick up litter without being told.
  • Take the initiative to clean up the class
  • Submit forms (all kinds) within stipulated time

Self Discipline
… because everyone will work with others

Practical Steps to Show SELF DISCIPLINE

  • Exhibit self-control.
  • Stay on task. Listen to your teacher or parents, and follow directions.
  • Ignore peer pressure. Do what is right, not what is popular.
  • Follow school, class, and home rules. Think before you speak or act.
  • Complete all assignments.
  • Remaining calm although being provoked
  • Restrains oneself from talking during school events such as Chapel sessions, devotion and school events


Courage
… because everyone should overcome difficulties


Practical Steps to Show COURAGE
  • Choose to do the right thing over the wrong thing
  • Tell the truth in spite of the consequences
  • Admit your mistakes and learn from them
  • Owns up for his/her mistake even before the teacher asks
  • Inform the teacher of another child’s misbehaviour, especially if it concerns the other child’s safety
  • Stand up for a friend who is bullied or teased
  • Attempt to contribute to class discussions, esp. for timid pupils

Practical Steps to Show LOVE
  • Show consideration and kindness through your actions and words
  • Thank those who did you a kindness/act of love
  • Show forgiveness to those who have hurt you
  • Be a good listener
  • Offer to take the homework of another pupil who is on MC
  • Call to inform the absent child of the homework that needs to be done
  • Shares his/her belongings or food with others willingly

Integrity
… because everyone ought to trust someone else


Practical Steps to Show INTEGRITY

  • Tell the truth/Avoid telling lies
  • Keep your promises
  • Tell the truth, regardless of the consequences
  • Voice your opinion in a thoughtful manner
  • Follow the rules
  • Return lost items/money
  • Informs teacher regarding mistakes in marking even if it might result in him/her losing marks
