All entries were unedited (in children's own words, spelling errors and all) and they come in different forms. Some described the sounds in the form of a story, some as a descriptive text and many in the form of poems and raps!
The children were very creative and original! I must say that they were extremely observant as well. They managed to interpret the pictures in many ways that I've never thought of. To say that adults can also learn from kids is an understatement =) I'm really impressed, kids! Keep those creative juices flowing!

Ka Ching! It is a cash register. Working hard for the supermarket.
Piang! Oops! It is a lady. Who dropped a glass containing water.
Splash! It is the water from the cleaner’s pail that splashed onto the ground.

This is a noisy supermarket. The cash register is ringing. The trolley wheels are sqeaking. The people in the supermarket are talking. A man in the check-up Queue is scolding the big woman in front of him because the big sign at the cashier says that you can only buy six items but the woman is buying more than six items. Someone dropped a bottle with a crash. The cleaner is going to clean up the mess and the water in the bucket is swishsing.

There are sounds in the supermarket such as people talking, crying, the sound of the trolley wheels, people shouting and the cashier talking. The cash register is ringing. A boy is asking for donation. The can in a woman’s trolley is rattling away. The man behind her is unhappy and telling her that she is in the wrong queue. A woman is asking the sales girl to get her a cake. A lady is relieved that a cleaner has come with a mop and a pail full of water.

Last week, I went to the supermarket. I heard many sounds there. A lady accidentally dropped a can of soup. There was a crashing sound made by the can. The cleaner was carrying a mop and a bucket. The water made a splashing sound as it spilled out from the bucket. A man was buying a packet of cereal for the little boy. When the boy shook it, it made a rustling sound. A lady was asking the salesgirl to help her find the black forest cake. I like to go to the supermarket.

A supermarket is a very busy place. If we listen carefully, we can hear many sounds. Thuck! A lady has dropped a bottle of syrup on the floor. Thud, thud! A cleaner is walking towards her to clean the mess. Ka-Chin! The cashier is busy serving many customers. “Hurry up!” shouted an impatient customer. “Please buy me that box of cereal!” said a boy to his father. Yes, there are many different sounds at the supermarket.

It was a sunny morning. My father and I went to the supermarket to buy groceries.
I heard a man complaining to himself about the woman in front of him because she had a trolley full of stuff but in a queue meant for six items only.
Next, I saw some beautiful cakes and a customer making enquiries on a chocolate cake.
“Splash!” a lady had dropped a cup of milo on the floor and there came the cleaner with a bucket and a mop to clean up the mess.
I also heard a man telling his son about the nutrition facts of the cereal.
I felt happy to hear so many different kinds of sound.

It’s me. I’m the cash register. I help the cashier calculate and keep her money.
Ting-Ting-Ting!
“Hello! Sir, may I have your donation, please?”
The man said he already donated. Helping the poor is a good deed.
“Thank you sir.”
Hey! You should not be queuing here. You have more six items! It’s that grumpy old man. He is always very grumpy!
Splot!
What was that? A woman who dropped a cup of coffee
Splot!

“Oh my goodness!” the woman screamed. She spilled a cup of hot tea on the floor. The cleaner quickly took a bucket of water and a mop to clean the floor.
“This looks yummy! May I have a mango cake please?” a lady asked. The salesgirl opened the cabinet to take out the cake for the woman.
A little boy sat on a trolley so that his father could push him around. His father bought a box of biscuit for the little boy.
There was a long queue at the cashier. A man was scolding the lady infront of him because the woman has more than six items in her trolley. When the cashier opened the money box, there will be a “ting” sound.
Supermarket is an interesting place to go.
