We celebrated our Nation's Birthday on 7th August 2008 =) The pupils made their own flags prior to the celebrations and were waving them enthusiastically when they sang the National Day songs at the Parade Square.
We had a simple yet meaningful activity in class -
Write & draw 5 things you like about Singapore. Some popular answers were 'clean country', 'safe country', 'Singapore flag' and most of all, (and also my favourite) 'FOOD'! They drew beautifully and I applaud them for their efforts. After which, we proceeded to the Hall for a short video clip, quiz, cheers and sing-along session!
