The P2 level embarked on their Math Trail during the last week of Term 3. For the Agapians, we had ours on the 3rd September =) Through the Trail, they learnt that Mathematics is all around them. The objectives of the Trail are as follows:
- To develop in pupils an appreciation of Maths through a discovery approach.
- To arouse pupils’ interest in Maths through hands-on tasks.
- To make learning of Maths fun.
- To promote team spirit among group members.
Just to name a few, the children had to figure out combinations of food in the canteen, count the number of cars and fans in the school, learn a new times table and now, they even know the top pupil in 2008!
All groups worked well together to find the answers but the most deserving of them would be Ketchup =) They were given a small token each.
